Side Hustle

Side hustles are a great way to make some extra money along side your main income. I have been side hustling 2 years and I would never go back.

Below are my favourite forms of side hustle to help you either pay of debt, save some extra money or generate more income.

For the paid online surveys you will need a paypal account in order to get your money!

Paid online surveys

Online surveys are a really good way of earning some extra cash. I have been doing surveys for two years and I can’t imagine not doing them now. Many companies are happy to pay you for your views on products, current affairs, lifestyle and much more.

Many survey sites will pay you in cash or offer you gift vouchers, all you need is a paypal account and an email address. I would recommended creating an email just for surveys as sometimes you do get spam but this is very rare.

The best place to get surveys are apps, I have picked 4 of my favourite survey apps/websites to share with you.

Prolific is my favourite survey site by far. The surveys pay really well for the amount of time that you have to complete them. For this you do need to provide a paypal account, mobile number, email address and answer questions about yourself.

You can’t cash out on this site until you reach £5 but this usually takes a day or two and only a few surveys.

The length of the surveys start from less then 5 minutes to over an hour depending on the questions and the amount you will get paid, you also have the chance to earn money during the surveys this is a bonus for answering questions correctly and detailed.

I love Qmee there is no cash out limit and their surveys are mostly quick and easy, and the money isn’t too bad. If you keep up your daily streaks they pay you more money per survey and I find the surveys are better.

This survey app is great for someone who doesn’t have a lot of time to invest in surveys. You could do these surveys whilst watching the TV, cooking dinner or just relaxing.

The length of these surveys start from 2 minutes to a maximum of 30 minutes.

If you are interested in Qmee then check out my referral link below which gives you an extra 50p when you cash out for the first time.

This app is more of a fun survey app, and they surveys don’t take that long to complete.

Many of Streetbees surveys will ask for pictures of products in your house, activities you are currently doing and so on. These surveys do take a bit of work but they are fun to do.

The most popular survey on this app seems to be the pet food ones. My dog loves it because whenever this survey appears on my phone he gets treats!

Curious cat:

I have a love hate relationship with this app, some weeks I love it and other weeks I hate it. Unfortunately with this app it takes a long time for you to be accepted for surveys and they will kick you out or decline your responses. So keep at it with this app and you will get accepted.

The cash out limit on this app is £1 (100 points).

This app is great for someone who doesn’t have a lot time you can quickly get a few done, it will only take a few days to cash out and the money is in your paypal account straight away.

Selling unwanted items online

You have heard the saying “One mans junk is another mans treasure” Well its true! Maybe not the junk part, but your unwanted items can be something great for another person.

Selling your unwanted items is a great to decluttter your house and also make some extra money. There are many sites that you can sell on such as Ebay, Facebook Market place, Gum tree, Depop and many more.

When you sell your items on sites like Ebay you do need to provide clear pictures and a details of the item your selling to get the best value. This can take time but it is worth it to make extra money.

I have been selling both mine and my families unwanted items for years and its great, we are recycling clothes that would have ended up in landfill and making money at the same time.

I hope these tips will help you to earn some extra money to pay of debt, or put it to savings.
